WHERE CAN I WATCH TV PROGRAMMES ONLINE FROM CANADA?

I have seen some sites which just have silly shopping channels, etc. But I would like to watch regular Television online. Canada is blocked from watching US Channels. Are there any exceptions? Does anyone know where I can watch regular Television on the web without being blocked because I do not reside in that country?
