WHAT VIDEO SETTINGS NEED TO BE ALTERED WHEN CONNECTING TO A HIGH DEFINITION TUBE TV THROUGH DVI?

I have a 128MB ATI Mobile Radeon on my laptop connected to a Toshiba Hi-Def tube through an HDMI cable connected to a DVI to HDMI adapter on my laptop. All I see on each resolution is a flickering screen and it does not display anything correctly. What settings should I change on my video card to fix this?

it s not the resolution have you checked all connections and if its a secondary monitor you have to set the card for a second monitor and tell it which one you want to be the primary. if you’ve done that check the Hertz its sending it might be to much and you will mess up the monitor

I feel sorry for all of these people from around the world who can’t watch U.S. or Canadian shows at legal sites!
