I do not own this, nor do I know anyone who does. But, after reading the 1* review, I felt that consumers must know something about it: THIS RECIEVER WILL NOT DIGITALLIZE (OR POSSIBLY EVEN WORK WITH) A STANDARD TV. The TV MUST be either Digital or Digital-ready. If it works with an ordinary TV at all, it will not magically create an HDTV (hi-def) out of an NTSC (standard).

I think it really stinks to advertise your product then say, “item is not stocked or has been discontinued. Please make another selection.” Well I would have if this wasn’t the one listed.

The supplier of this unit — Accessory Specialists — agreed to express mail it so it would arrive here by 12/23, in time for Xmas. It is now 12/28 and it has still not arrived. If you’re intested in this unit, you may want to find another supplier!

Very nice HD picture quality. Very soft and fuzzy picture quality on all non-HD channels. I returned it when it died a week later.

The first unit arrived and the installer couldn’t get the setup menu to display. I returned the bad unit. The second unit arrived and had the same problem. At that point I just got my money refunded. I can’t tell if there is a quality problem with the Toshiba, or with the handling of returned electonics.
