USB SLOTS, DOES ANYBODY KNOW? URGENT HELP APPRECIATED. THANK YOU.?
Does anybody know if a USB slot on a personal is an in and out connection rather than just one way. The reason why I am asking is because if you had a tv tuner like satellite tv box,cable,iptv,tv etc…… with a usb socket on it would it then be possible to connect them to a pc and get the tv through your pc if you had the right software. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank You.

Yes. It is. If you have a USB device you can connect it to a USB port on your computer. Consult the software that came with the device.

It depends on the hardware. USB is two way, but most set-top boxes wont send the video feed out of the USB port. The device has to have that feature, despite USB supporting two way communications. Id be suprised if it did though. I recommend using the tv-in port of a video tuner hooked up with a composite converter.

if you are asking whether or not information can be transfered to AND from something via usb, then yes. usb can be used to link two devices together

Better yet, give Slingbox a try. You can purchase them online or at most electronic stores. I have one and LOVE it. I can watch my Dish Network satellite anywhere on my laptop (even when traveling) and I can watch it on my Windows Mobile Smartphone as well. They also have a Blackberry version available now.
