WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HOME BASED INTERNET (NORMAL WEB) AND MOBILE INTERNET?
What are the main differences between the two? To me, I would think with everything becoming more integrated and dynamic, like searching the web on your tv and/or with more cell phones becoming more like mobile laptops like the iPhone, there shouldn’t to be any differences. Is it the mobile service providers who make more complicated? Well whatever the case maybe, in my opinion, in 5 years we will not be having this conversation.

The main difference is cost. The technology in use to deliver a web page over mobile Internet is different to the technology used to deliver it over a fixed broadband line.
The cost to the provider is more for delivery over the mobile system because the bandwidth is limited and shared out amongst many subscribers whereas we have a developed the infrastructure for the fixed system using fixed telephone lines that have existed for many years.
For this reason, mobile web pages and content is made much smaller to fit it over the mobile phone network – and of course to fit it onto such small screens!
You are right though, the technology will be developed over the next few years until the mobile technology is comparable to what we have now over the fixed network and we’ll probably see a merging of the two technologies into one.
