Okay You Have Several Options for this. If your computer has an S-Video output and your TV has an S-Video input(which most do) that all you need is an S-Video cable which you connect to your computer and then to your TV. They are sold at almost and department or electronics store. The second option is a VGA(your monitor out) to RCA(Red, White, Yellow) converter. They are sold on Ebay for about 3.00. You may need a VGA splitter if you don’t want to swap the cables every time. And you will need an RCA Cable to connect the Converter to your TV’s input.

Well, this could be cheap or something like $40 (or more). First thing you have to do is look at the back of your computer and see if there is a s-video output.
–If there is, acquire a s-video cable, plug and play.
–If there isn’t, you’ll have to buy something. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815260011
This’ll plug right in where a monitor would go, and provide an output to your tv over s-video. You can also plug your monitor into it.
2 hours? Yes, it’s actually easier for your computer because it’s a low resolution.
There is a problem with this though. s-video is a standard definition cable, so the maximum resolution you can achieve with it is 640×480. Computers typically run at a bare minimum of 800×600 unless it’s older than dirt. What that box will do is take the signal and scale it down to fit on the tv. The result of this is that stuff like small text will be unreadable. If you’re showing pictures or movies, it’s fine.
