WHAT IS THE CHEAPEST, MOST RELIABLE TV, INTERNET, AND PHONE BUNDLE?
My fiance and I are moving into our first place and we need to save as much money as possbile to survive there. We need phone and internet. Not necessarily tv, but I thought some bundles were cheaper if you add it. I am in college so world wide web is a must. I have shopped around but I am not sure if I am looking in the right places. Any advice?
Either Internet, phone and tv
or
Internet and phone only

I had to cut my budget and the only area was phone, internet, TV. I wanted to give up phone but had to have it for dial up internet. I ended up getting a package with all 3 for $89 from my cable company (which is cheaper than I had with dial up, phone, cable) but when that contract ends I’ll drop the phone service. Some cable companies have a super special package for college students usually only for a few months though. THE cheapest way is to get high speed internet & use yahoo for your phone calls. You can also watch TV shows online. Yahoo phone in is $2.49 a month and calls are a penny a minute with a deposit of $10 or Skype is $5.45 month with unlimited talk.
Sure wish I’d figured this out years ago. I didn’t think I could afford high speed internet sigh.
Yahoo voice for US is .01 per minute. Get yahoo messenger, do the voice wizard under ACTIONS under CALL SET UP, then deposit $10 with yahoo, then under ACTIONS under CALL a PHONE. You need a mic & speakers.
You can make free computer to computer calls with yahoo or skype (both parties must have accounts) but making computer call to a phone costs (.021 minute with skype or unlimited for $2.95 month or .01 minute with yahoo)

I dunno where you live…but Verizon/fairpoint has a package of unlimited calling in the US and unlimited internet access high speed…like..700 something kps….I pay about $80 a month for that after taxes and stuff. BUT they offer a tv,internet and phone package for like $100…and it has like 200 channels…DVR and all that good stuff. I wanted to get this package as it was only 20 more a month but my landlord wont let me have a satellite dish!!
the regular cable company offering JUST cable is like $60 so I decided to hold off on cable until my next apartment… (which is soon..hopefully lol)

Given a choice of a bell company provider (e.g., AT&T, Verizon, Qwest) or a cable company provider (since most cable companies offer TV, internet, and phone), I’d opt for a cable provider over a bell provider. The reason? First and foremost, the newest and latest internet technologies are not being deployed fast enough by the bells to reach enough areas in enough time. For instance, a cable company can offer more channels than satellite, 17Mbps speed (while the bell can only deliver synchronization-plagued 3-6Mbps speed to most locations), and unlimited local/long distance in a bundle for a price that is both lower than and much more reliable than the bell. One word of caution: avoid CLECs like the plague.
