We currently have comcast and we are thinking of switching to Direct Television with the TV+Internet+Calling bundle, and I was wondering how it compares to comcast in terms of the Internet? How fast is it?

Since DirecTV is a satellite service, it does not have its own Internet or phone network. They contract with local phone companies for such services. So, for example, if you are in an AT&T operating area, you’ll be getting AT&T phone and Internet service. AT&T Internet is either DSL with varying speeds up to about 12 mb/s (more in some areas) or via AT&T U-verse with the same Internet speeds.
I used to have Comcast and now have U-verse with 6 mb/s Internet, and it’s fine for everything I do. Very good Internet service in all respects.
