WILL THE ANALOG SHUTDOWN AFFECT STREAMING TV NEWS VIDEO ON THE INTERNET?
Question by Nick:
Will the analog shutdown affect streaming Television news video on the Internet?
I like to watch live Television newscasts from other cities on my computer. Many stations and networks’ websites stream news through Microsoft Media Services and the video is seen through Windows Media Player in good quality. Will the February transition affect this at all, and limit what streaming video is available? Thanks.

The analog shutdown that they are speaking about has nothing to do with the Internet. To get a Television newscast on the World wide web it has to be digitized and put into IP frames, no analog Television signal there at all.
