IS THERE ANY WAY TO EITHER DISPLAY YOUR DESKTOP ON YOUR TV OR STREAM INTERNET TV SHOWS FROM FOX.COM TO YOUR TV?

Besides the obvious way of running a cable. That is not an option. Windows Media Extender does not seem to support hulu or network tv sites yet for streaming so I cannot think of any other way. Boxee might in the future but it’s only in alpha and I am not sure if there is a windows version out for it. So far it seems like the ideal option is to purchase a laptop or desktop to put close to the TV, but I was hoping for a more affordable option. Thanks!

VGA TO S-VIDEO DISPLAY TO TV NOT WORKING?

I’m attempting to connect my laptop to my Television and i’ve come across some problems. First problem is my personal only video output is VGA, something i did not think about when buying it. So i bought a VGA to S-video adapter. Here is what it is and where i got it:

anyways i’ve hooked it all up through svideo and through the yellow rca… i’ve changed some settings around nothing has worked.
My graphics card is a mobile intel(R) 965 express chipset family. the Television is a JVC 32″ LCD TV.

CLONED TV DOESN’T DISPLAY VIDEOS WHICH ARE PLAYED ON MAIN MONITOR?

My current setup is that I have my laptop with a radeon 9600 mobile with an s-video cord hooked up to my tv. I have my Television set as “cloned” mode so that is just displays whatever is on my laptop’s monitor.
If I am watching videos off of youtube or mlb.tv, they display perfectly fine, however, if I am watching .avi files through VLC, the motion picture just appears black on my TV, while it plays perfectly fine on my laptop.
What would cause this anomaly?

HOW TO DISPLAY A PROPER DVD ASPECT RATIO ON A WIDESCREEN LAPTOP?

I have a 17 inch hp monitor that displays at 1680×1050, which is 16:10. When I watch a dvd that is 1.85:1 anamorphic in either powerdvd 6 or 7, I still get black bars on the top and bottom of my monitor, very similar to a square tv set or 4:3 monitor. On my 16:9 plasma connected to a dvd player, the same motion picture fills the screen correctly. I have a x600 ati mobile video card to that is up to date. Please help.

TV NOT DETECTED AS SECONDARY DISPLAY DEVICE ON LAPTOP CONNECTED THROUGH S-VIDEO TO RCA ADAPTER?

TV Out problem:
I have a compaq presario V3070TU laptop connected through S-Video out to the RCA input of my Television (Samsung CS-29K44ME).Laptop has Intel 945 mobile chipset as graphics card. I am unable to get my Television work as secondary display device as the laptop does not detect it at all. I have tried turning on the TV, then connecting the cable between laptop and Television and then booting the laptop,all but to no avail.I have tried switching to AV1 and AV2 sources on TV.In While in AV2, if I use the Fn+F4 combination key on laptop, the Television screen flickers a bit, but no desktop image appears.The Display properties of the Intel 945 chipset on the laptop does not detect the secondary display and shows only ‘1′(which is desktop) when click on ‘Identify’ button.All the RCA pins (Video and Audio) have been connected to the sides of the Television correctly.I appreciate any help in this regard.
