I’m getting ATT U-Verse tomorrow, where everything comes into the home over the same cable. It’s called IPTV (I think World wide web Protocol Television). I get tv and world wide web from them. Well, the service comes with a 802.11g router for the internet, but I was wondering: if I could get some sort of adapter for my television, is it possible to also stream TV to my tv? I am not looking for HD television, I do not even have a hd tv. Is there a way to stream standard TV like this?

IPTV (Internet Protocol Television) is a system where a digital Television service is delivered using World wide web Protocol over a network infrastructure, that is, a broadband connection. A general definition of IPTV is Television content that, instead of being delivered through traditional broadcast and cable formats, is received by the viewer through the technologies used for personal networks, all of which employ World wide web Protocol and related standards such as SNMP.
Most that I watch are legal and sponsored fron the Television guru from above. So many of you hard head heads think that is yo do pay for it, it is illegal.
Many are p2p and are not illegal, they show ads, reduced and these people broadcast with permission form the networks.
Many are advertised on Television itself, like HULU, Fancast, MYSop
TVU networks.
So why do so many of you think it it illegal??
YESSS there are plenty of bad apples out there that see you some software for 6000 channells for on$ 49.00 for life.
These folfs are scams. They are selling what you can get for free.
Other Thoughts, Intelligent Thoughts will be left on the board.

Universal Remote to access my Sony EX710 LED and Digital Television Channels?
I use Sony EX710 Television which has only 100 channels from 0-99. Hence wont able to key Channels in 3 Digits. I use Airtel IPTV and the Channel numbers in IPTV starts with 100. If i use my Sony Television Remote, i can change the channels in my IPTV and If i use my airtel IPTV remote then i wont be able to access my additional functionalities which Sony Television has like accessing Youtube and so on.
I want to use single Universal remote in which i can access both these and other devices if i can any. Looking for a universal remote. Will logitech Harmony One or any other models will alternative my existing remotes.
