TV-Oout problem, trying getting VGA to RCA adapter to work, Intel GMA Mobile thinks my Television is a monitor?
I just purchased a new cheapo VGA to RCA/S-video adapter from Ebay hearing that they work fine. I have a Dell B120 laptop with “Mobile Intel(R) 915GM/GMS,910GML Express Chipset Family” graphics accelerator driver version 6.14.10.4410 using XP Home. The laptop only has a vga out, but from what I comprehend the Intel GMA has native TV-Out support.
So I plug the adapter into the vga port, and connect it to the RCA Video on my Sylvania TV. I go to Display Properties>Settings>Advanced>I… GMA Tab>Graphics properties. I can activate ‘clone screen’ from there. When I do I get a rolling staticy image on the screen. I can tell it’s trying to display the image, because when I change the screen on the laptop, there is a noticeable difference in the rolling static on my TV.
I noticed that when I go to the ‘Graphics Properties’, it states the second screen is a monitor, not TV(640×480@8bit@60hz -the ONLY option). Is that my problem? If so, how do I make it realize its a TV? Any other suggestions?
I tried rebooting when I initially plugged it in, no change.

i actualy found out about this via a question I “answered” months ago, where someone gave this link http://www.satellitetvonpc.com/, out as a suggestion, and stated this is a great company, me and my children love it. So this day i went back to that question, so that I could ask her about the company, but the only thing is it would seem, she hasnt been on here since, and had just asked about getting sattlie tv on her computer, to which she answered the question, with her answer.
If anyone owns there product, i just want to know what choice channel does it have, and does the company have a return policy, in case Im not satisfied.
I emailed the company and the only thing they could state is we cant responed to each question, here is a least of common questions.
So Im just worried I will get crap, I have used the technology behind the product in the past IPTV, and I can comprehend the price, since some companies offer lesser channels for free, like TVUPlayer, and it has HBO, and is free

I do not mind getting subscriptions from many sites but i do not want to get 3 set top boxes … If i get a set top box from one (say watchindia.tv), can i use that to subscribe for channels from channellive.tv and jump.tv? Otherwise, i need to get on the web subscriptions only and then connect my personal to the Television …

I have contacted all the ones I could think of off the top of my head, but I know there are more out there, I am just surprisingly having a really hard time finding them. Help!!!
