Forgive me AT&T for having so many commercials on Television about wireless networks and still not fully understanding how all this works! I need portability (access to use my equipment anywhere ie parks, beaches, etc.) I am told that there is special software that you can get for a laptop along with a card swiper that grants portability as long as there is a wireless network. However, I later found out that just because you might be able to pick up a wireless signal, does not mean that you can actually access the network. Is there a way for me to have my own portable network so that I can have wireless access anywhere-even if it is outdoors? Any mobile vendors out there that take cc’s, how do you do it?
The wireless terminal sounds good, but the credit card imprint does not. I think that with so much ID theft, people will be less likely to grant a mobile vendor to have a copy of their credit card number. I am not sure what you mean by a gateway. Is this software or an account or what? Thanks so much for all of you all’s info!
